Bio
Coach Frank Zimmerman enters his 13th year as the head coach of the MiraCosta College men's soccer program. In the past three seasons the Spartans have earned great success, winning the conference championship in 2022 and finishing in second place in 2023 and 2024. In 2024 the team earned a spot in the 3C2A state playoffs and advanced the Elite 8 in the state.
Zimmerman is a pillar of the Oceanside community, also leading the Oceanside High School boys soccer program and directing the Oceanside Breakers Soccer Club. With well over 20 years of coaching experience, Coach Zimmerman has changed countless lives, impacting many of them from a young age, all the way through their time at MiraCosta College.
Coach Zimmerman was no stranger to MiraCosta, also having played soccer for the Spartans in the late 1980's.
