MiraCosta Advances Three Pairs to Day Two

The MiraCosta beach volleyball team had three pairs advance to the quarterfinals of the PCAC Pairs Tournament.  The tournament started with 34 teams from seven colleges, and at the end of the first day, only eight teams remained.  MiraCosta College earned three of the eight spots, allowing them a chance to play on Friday for the conference championship, and a spot in the SoCal Regional Pair Tournament.

The three pairs that are still competing for the championship include Daysha Halbert and Kiara Keibel, Alexis Jones and Daniela Szajkowski, and Kate Beezer and Keira Heckel.  Play on Friday starts at 9am at MiraCosta College.  The four winning teams from the quarterfinals will play at 10:30am for a chance to move on to the finals. 

MiraCosta's beach volleyball team will next be in action on Tuesday April 29th in the 3C2A state playoffs.  Time and location are not yet determined.
